Foreword by Dan Grigorescu, Vol. 10, coord. Ana-Maria Brezuleanu. Saeculum I.O. Publishing House, 2009, 423 pages, ISBN: 9736420027
"Goal: Bearing the title Bibliography regarding the Relations between the Romanian Literature and the Literatures of the World in Romanian Periodical Publications (The Bibliography regarding the Relations between the Romanian Literature and the Literatures of the World in Romanian Periodical Publications), the project (one of the oldest, longest and most thorough projects ran over the years in ʻG. Călinescuʼ Institute of Literary History and Theory of the Romanian Academy) has arrived at its third series. The first one gathering three volumes published during the 1980s covers the period between 1859 and 1918, the second one gathering 10 volumes published in the late 1990s and the beginning of the 2000s covers the period between 1919 and 1944, while the work on the third series focused on the period between 1945 and 1964, almost completed, was suspended in February 2019 because researchers were needed to conclude a huge newer project run in the Institute, i.e. The Chronology of Romanian Literary Life". "Under the sign of Prospero: Academician Dan Grigorescu - Evocations -. Coordinator: Roxana Zanea, Ideea European Publishing House, 2020, 302 pages. ISBN: 9786065947986
The value of Professor Dan Grigorescu was seen when he talked about two fields in which he had a founding role: iconology and ekphratics. His works The Adventure of the Image, The Gemini Constellation and Introduction to Ekphrastic are reference books in the field. Through these volumes, Dan Grigorescu proposed to overcome the limits of comparatism and to promote new, modern specialties, research methods that were making a career in the Western space.
Well versed in the avant-garde, Professor Dan Grigorescu is the coordinator of a Dictionary of avant-gardes and an Alphabetical Dictionary of American literature, awarded with the gold medal of the Association of American Critics. He wrote numerous specialized studies about the most important contemporary Romanian painters. He is one of the translators of William Shakespeare into the Romanian language, he coordinated the first critical edition of Shakespeare's works in Romania, he wrote numerous studies of art history, comparative literature, to quote some of the numerous studies, books, prefaces and presentations. He is a member of the Romanian Academy since 2004". (Roxana Zanea)

Tom Sandqvist – Dada Est. Romanians from Cabaret Voltaire, Publisher of the Romanian Cultural Institute, 2010, 352 p.
Translated from English by Cristina Deutsch
In East Dada, Tom Sandqvist shows that the Dadaist movement did not appear ready-made, in a literary salon in Zurich, but developed from an artistic tradition already vibrant in Eastern Europe, especially in Romania, which was transposed to Switzerland when a group of Romanian modernists settled in Zurich. Bucharest and other cities in Romania were the stage for poetry, prose, Dada performances in the years leading up to the First World War. One of the pioneers of this trend was Tristan Tzara, who started his career in avant-garde literature at the age of fifteen, when he founded the magazine Simbolul. Tzara - who coined the term "dada" inspired by a banal connection between his birthday and an Orthodox saint - was at the Cabaret Voltaire that night, together with the Iancu brothers - Marcel, Iuliu and George - and Arthur Segal. No it is a coincidence, argues Sandqvist, that so many of the first Dadaist group were Romanians. The author identifies the artistic and personal transformations that took place in the "Little Paris of the Balkans" before manifesting elsewhere, finding sources equally varied, such as symbolism, futurism and folklore. He shows that there is a connection between the Romanian modernists and the Eastern European Yiddish tradition; Tzara, the brothers Iancu and Segal - they all grew up in Jewish culture and traditions.
Tom Sandqvist is an associate doctor and professor of art history and theory at the Faculty of Fine, Decorative and Design Arts in Stockholm, Sweden and at the University of Lapland in Rovaniemi, Finland.
